I adjusted my valves for the first time today and I have a fe questions. Ok when turning the nut counter clockwise it says in manual to line up the "i" mark on the inner wheel thing. OK I while turning it i noticed there is an "I" mark, looks like an H when looking into the hole..I used the line that looks like a straight line that comes right after the H looking mark while turning the nut..did I use the right mark or am I to use the H looking mark.. Also my valves were done at the start of last season and my intake valves weree REALLY tight, but my exhaust valves were OK...is this normal??? THNAKS ALOT

 

Sounds to me like you used the right mark.

Yep and the intakes do tighten up.

 

Thanks a lot, do the exhausts not tighten up, or just not as quickly???

 

An easy way to tell if youre on the right mark, and not 360 out...is to wiggle the rockers, if they are tight, and you cant wiggle them, youre 360 degrees out. Rotate the crank one full turn from there.
