Default Yamaha Blaster in sand dunes?

Hey I am taking my Blaster and Shee to Silver Lake sand dunes in lower michigan in April. I was wondering how the blaster will perform in the sand? And what paddle tires should i get for it? Because its only 200cc is it stong enough to spin a set of sand geckos.....becuase those paddles are pretty big.

I would not use the geckos, they are heavy and dont hook up too good, I would just use some 5 paddle tires, maybe 6. My friend weighs around 240-260 and cant make it up some dunes that I could go up in reverse with my raptor.

Exactly what size for the blaster?

I've been to Coos Bay, Winchester, Sandlake, Beverly, and Moses Lake on stockers. I hardly ever get stuck, but I also won't try some stuff since I don't have paddles.

Help!

My blaster wears sand skate 2's that have been on it since 97. They climb well and dont overtax the little blaster engine. I dont know if they're still made but they seem to work out very well.

thanks for the tire info......but how well does the blaster perform in sand? Does it bog down in it or does it stay on top of it. And how is it for speed on the sand?

Thanks

Blasters I've seen in the sand seem to do alright, in the flats that is. I'm not sure about any hill climbing. I've yet to see one even try. Maybe its because they won't make it.

They do just fine in smaller dunes, no it wont take a 200lb rider up the steep long climbs but it will haul the average guy around the usual dunes with no problems. I know it's not being very specific but the blaster will perform nicely if you're reasonable on what you try to climb. It's not a hi performance machine, just a sporty little one.

never ever underestimate the powere of the blaster . my friends always make fun of me for having one but they are really aweosme machines, they def. hold their own. so it should do fine with some nice paddles.

well....im about 120 pounds and i got it bored out to a 215 because i had some piston trouble. I dont know if that will effect its performance and i am prly gonna get sand devils......AND! for front tires is it a good idea to get those ones with just one rib through the middle??????
