I put a stage 2 hot cam along with a JE piston in my raptor with a CT exaust system. I haven't had ANY 4 stroke that could beat me..... what do you guys think, all for all if you had a decked raptor and a decked YFZ what would would win in a hill race? (AT THE COAST)

A full blown mod'd Raptor would beat a full blown mod'd YFZ in my opinion. Simply more HP with the larger displacement Raptor.

I fear this post will become quite the flame war...

It's to hard to say who will win without actually doing the race...people will just disagree and argue...

I have only been beaten by one YFZ and that was selectors 460 on alchol, with a bigger piston and cam modd,he was quick when he would kick it into 4th but if he was in third i could beat him...

when i raced him i had a 12:1 Je,a stage 1 cam and stock carbs with 20-11-9 paddles, now it's a whole new ball game,im at 14:1 with a hi-rev cam diffrent carbs ,diffrent paddles, almost everything about the bike when it's done will be difffrent,..

to put it to you this way it is strictley dragg now,im waiting for eric when he comes out to Dumont or i go to Utah..

there are some vids of us racing,go to Google, type in sand dune videos and click on the first thread,go to Dumont videos thanksgiving and click on the raptor03 and selector vids...when he kills me he is in 4th and when i beat him or where tie where both in 3rd..

no offense raptors can barely pull their 5th gear, never ridden a highly modded one but a piped i do and it can barely pull 5th in the dunes. Yfz's i dont know wats up with them but they are really really good hill climbers i think because the throttle position sensor but im not sure. All ive know is i see those things rip uphills. wait till sumone witha yfz responds

Why would I want to stay in 3rd when I can catch 4th? Actually, I was geared to short - I was gear for gas not meth. Taking the rear down to a 37 (I was 39) would have been ideal, but I didn't have one to do it with.
