sounds like a good fit for you.
You can get decent blasters for a grand, and some really nice and new ones for 2. The engine is pretty reliable stock and shouldnt require rebuilds very often. It usually doesnt foul any plugs unless you do it. Its fast for the price and makes a great trail and play bike. it can be mxed, but it takes some modifications.

mine is a 2000 and has never flouled a plug in its life.
My advice to you is take off the oil injection system and start to pre-mix the gas. Its easy to do and only costs like 25 bucks. You can do as much mods to them as you have the money for. The list is never ending.

I think the only quad out there with more aftermarket parts for it is the Banshee. Blasters appear to be a great little machine. Stock 4 stock with equal riders (weight/skill/etc) the blaster will not win against a Warrior. However, add a pipe and filter and rejet and you're off to the races ... the blasters just respond so well to mods ....
Good luck!

Perfect fit for you. you shouldnt foul plugs unless you are running it too rich. Its is a good dune/trail quad. and it is fast. there are also tons of mods out there to soup it up with. And again you shouldnt have to do to much engine work iff you use a good quality oil like golden spectro.

if you get a want ad u can find a blaster with nerf rarz's fmf exhaust and other mods for like 2 grand. that quad would go so fast. i got a 2003 blaster and they def. hold there own in most things. i took the front fenders off of mine lol (think it looks more racier). but neway god all around quad i am also 14 and weigh about 135 and am 5'9 and it feels perfect and most of all it jumps great lifts up of the ground like nothign and its wheelie time central too. sry bout the length but theres so much to say bout these machines i love them.
