Default No VIN #?????

My banshee is a 99 but in an 01 frame. It is a stock one but it has no VIN number. I am worried about it getting stolen and not having any way to identify it. What are some options? BTW, I do have the title, but of course it is for the original frame. Any ideas?

All new Frames and engine cases have no vin numbers as I recall. So, when you get your new replacement, you are supposed to go to your DMV or where ever you register your vehicles at and they will tell you where to go. You may need to have one placed on.

I know in california, when you replace the motor or frame you need to notify dmv to have that information changed in the system. Reason why, it helps track down stolen property. As far as the vin goes, contact your state police or highway patrol and see if they issue new VIN's. Here, they are either stamped into the frame (preferred method) or a sticker is issued for the new frame.
