Default K&N Air Filter

I was wondering if I put a K&N Air Filter from Alba's Web Site ( one used with Stock Air Box ) for my Raptor- Would I have to rejet my quad with this only mod? Would it give me any more power?

sixsixt is right, but it will breate better. Now if you take the lid off, then you could use a little jetting. You may or may not notice a power increase though. I did my pipe at the same time so I cant be sure. I do know that I got a lot more power with the lid off than on with the pipe though.

As someone who had never re-jetted anything until about an hour ago, let me tell you. It's not as hard as it sounds. SlowWarrior gave me a kind of generic Raptor jetting procedure that made it pretty easy and a whole lot less intimidating. I can get it for you if you want.

Well I'm not going to buy just the K&N Air Filter right now. I'm just going to buy one when I get a pipe and that. Could I run my Raptor with stock air filter and that with no lid? Will that give me any more power.

I see no need to rejet untill you get a pipe. You can only draw in as much air as you can blow out. As far as power it's not noticable.
But K&N is a good filter, I run K&N in my Grizz.

Yuo won't need to rejet but if you do take off the airbox lid you quad might seem to run a little lean. Also you might want to think about saving up a little more money and getting the K&N Pro Flow adapter kit by Pro Design.

If you're going to keep the airbox and run it with no lid I would go ahead and spend the money for the Pro Design K & N filter set up. It is a lot better(with increased perf.) than the stock filter setup which is just held in by the lid that can allow dirt past it while riding because of it not sealing good. If you go this way I would check the jetting after install with a good plug check to see were your jetting is and go from there. Slim
