Default YFZ 450

I just got a new YFZ450 and I`ve been out of the loop for a couple of years. I was wondering which pipe seems to be working best for mx riding? How about the yamaha gyt-r stuff is it any good? I use to race alot but now im riding on the weeknds just for the fun of it so im not planing on putting as much cash in this as i had in my lonestar 250r. Do you any of you know where i can buy black wheels other than hiper? Any other tips for the 450 will be appreciated. The main think is the pipe though. Oh yeah are they any good atv stores online to buy stuff?

rockymountain
Magic
Ripper Racing LLC
Ronnie's

Those are some good places to find parts online. Ronnie's has the factory microfiche for oem parts online.

Sparks, gtyr, ct, and hmf have all had good reports from their owners on pipes. A friend of mine started with gtyr, and ended up with a ct, said he liked it better and had more power. Yamaha sells black wheels but you are looking at around 200 bucks a piece for oem. The yfz really wakes up with a new filter, pipe, and the cam mod. Congrats on your new purchase.

Thanks for the info do you know anything about the LRD pipe. Also how about the slip on version does the head pipe help alot? Also i use to buy my wheels from duncan racing and they would have them anidized black. I was wondering if anyone else other than yamaha has anything like that. Sorry for all the questions but like i said i`ve been out of the loop for quiet awhile. Thanks again!

I havent heard much about the lrd for the yfz. I know that they released one for the raptor a few years back that really ripped. The only downside was that it was a race only pipe with no spark arrestor. Thats something to check if you are going to be in public areas. And head pipes are worth the money if you want maximum hp.

ITP makes a t-9 Pro series Baja beadlock wheel that is black anodized aluminum. I'm sorry I dont know where you can pick any up though.

I personally have the gytr with the titanium header, kinda expensive, but it does put out good low end, and sounds really good to , they also make a quite core for it. And like the gentelmen stated earlier, rockymountain is really good, they are dealers of the itp pro series beadlocks. They are pretty expensive also, i got mine for right around 160, but they sell for 200 i think, my friend is a dealer so i think i got a good price. White bros. also carries them, the only problem is those rims are on back order, i recieved my rears, but the fronst don't come in until mid april. So i hope this helped, but if you look on this site there is alot of info. on pipes and what not.

Thanks for all the help sorry i havn`t responded in awhile i`ve been working all the time. I have a cuple more questions. How much do the hiper wheels sell for and are the as good as itp and douglas? Out of the three brands which would you guys recomend? Im still thinking about which pipe to buy I just havn`t made up my mind yet. There are alot of good pipes out there for the yfz. I like the look of the new white bro E2 pipe and it works with the e series head pipe but from what i`ve read it only give it about 4 horse power and i know there are alot of pipes out there that have alot more. I saw www.tlcracing.biz has a pipe they claim gives the 450 a 17 horse increase with jetting and filter. Its costly but if its true i think i`ll go with tlc thats a huge increase. It sounds to good to be true. If any of you have any info on it please let me know.
