I mostly ride mx for fun and Im thinking of doing the cam mod. Ive done the searches and have found nothing specific about the cam mod and mx. I also do alot of sand riding in the summer. Is it worth doing the cam mod for mx since you need the power on the low and middle side of the power band? I just got the sparks pipe and filter to bring the power up but more power is great if you can get it! What do you mx riders that have done the cam mod think?

 

Just do it. You will LOVE the extra power. If you don't, you can always change it back. I ride trails and some MX and love the little stronger hit and harder pull, plus it seems to rev a bit faster.

 

i could definately tell a difference on the dunes. If you ride the sand then do it. I have also raced mx and i didnt notice any drawbacks.

 

I'll do it then. I found the instructions on yfz central. Does it take very long and difficult is it? It doesnt look that bad. Thanks.
