Did he remove the airbox lid? If not that makes a big difference if jetted properly.

I see that you said he got a bigger front sprocket. That could explain the feel of a loss of power, and with those mods it would bring it back up to the feel of stock. I changed my front from a 14 tooth to a 13 tooth and if feels a TON more powerful. As for top speed, it should be faster. Just a guess.

if hes been riding it for more then 20 hours i think u might need to repair the top end on it. thats what im learning some friends of mine told me that for 2 strokes u need to repair the top end every so often and im thinking about doing it to mine because it wears down and is not like it is when stock when they repair it it goes back to stock and u will feel the power difference. hope ive been some help

dude, 20 hrs. no way. its smart to change it ever 6 months like buy new rings and gaskets and get it honed, but not 20 hours. umm that sprocket i beliece is larger than stock. like stock is 13, and if u go up 1, u will take away a lot from ur top and add to ur bottm. this could be y it is running slow topend.

by the way. if u remove ur lid and get a 12 tooth front sprocket, that will help topend and power all around because of the increased air.if u have a good matching jet, with thos mods it should be close to 300 id say for a main jet/

no when u go up on the front sprocket it INCREASES the top-end not the low end.makes the gears longer.
