How much does the Raptor motor weigh? I'm thinking of sending it out and, need to know how much it weighs for prices.

How is the best way to ship it (like how to crate it) and, who has the best deals? Thanks for any help!

 

I would guesstimate the Rap engine weight of at least 100lbs....but under 110lbs. I have had excellent service with R and L carriers in the past with freight items. I would make a wooden box and mount / tie the engine too the floor securely. THen fill up the rest of the box with foam or plastic packing. I would have my initials on the engine in several locations too make sure it's MY STUFF when it gets back. Later!

Are you sure it is around 100 though? What is the other 300 pounds of Rappy?

 

Yea it's a little over 100lbs. Actually, in taking back my previous guesstimate, 110 would not surprise me. I have been packing mine around a lot lately....LOL. The YFZ and 450r engines weight around half that......take half of the Raps engine weight away and you have an package around the same weight of the YFZ and 450r.

 

Tires/rims + swing arm + liquids + frame + suspension .... it all adds up.

 

100lbs was mine. But it was missing a piece of the head. LOLOLOL
