YFZ450 or Raptor vs. Banshee need help!!!
Help!!!!!!I've got to make a big decision today on whether I'm going to buy a Raptor or a YFZ450. I'll be mostly trail riding and drag racing on fire roads and river bottoms and ocassionally going to a track and riding a little. I road a YFZ450 yesterday and it was awesome and then I rode a Raptor....it was also awesome and can't make a decision.....I use to have a banshee and thought it was ok for trail riding but horrible for the track.....I'm having a hard time making a decision if I should spend the extra $1,000 and get a 450 or go with the Raptor.......Help me out give me some pros and cons on the two.......I can get the Raptor for $6,070 OTD with extended 3 year warrany or $7,000 OTD for the 450 with the 3 year extended warranty.

If I were you I would spend the extra grand on the YFZ(if it fits you). The raptor will do all the things you said very well. but 9 out of 10 people that own a rappy's choose to modify the engine so to get more power. The Yfz owners just slap an exhaust on(or take out the stock core) and do the cam mod, and they seem very content with the performance of their quads. SO in the long run the rappy will cost you more money! also after you modify your rappy, it will be to fast for the rest of the stock components that come standard on the rappy. For instance if you put a piston/cam/and pipe/filter on the Raptor, you will REALLY notice the narrow Stance VS. the high seat hieght that the Rappy has. SO you will need to widen it a few inches. Also with the added HP you will need to up grade your shocks to handle the quads new found speed. The YFZ has the total package! you wont be longing for "mods" after you buy it, cause you wont need them to stay competitive.
Good luck.
Bigger.
Good luck.

I've heard 5999 otd in Missouri for the 450. that was with no title though and, not having to pay tax since it is out of state! You only pay tax if you want to title it. What do you need a title for if it can never have plates?
I also have a friend that got the 450 otd for 6300 here at Chicago Cycle center. I think he even paid tax and, title. They are completely horrible as far and, service but they sell a large volume of bikes and, have the cheapest prices around.
