My buddie has a 94 honda fourtrax 2x4. Its missing 5th gear, and needs a starter, tires and has been beat kinda. He would sell it to me for $700 , a good price or not. Has new bearings all around. And other little stuff. Thanx tbguy250

it doesn't seem like its worth it if its missing a gear and needs a new starter it seems like it has internal problems what would you use it for?? remember its only 2X4 so you wouldn't be plowing or towing much stuff.

( is a fourtrax a sport or utility quad? i think utility so sorry if my post doesn't work to ya)----Matt-

 

lo l just one a-arm? well it sounds like an ok buy i guess. if its really beat i wouldnt get it and if 1 gear is missing it might of broke so u might need to check or replace the other gears.

 

well I can get the gear for $100 and have the local b.o.c.e.s kids do the mantiance free of charge, w/ their teacher watching them do it so it gets done correctly

I should of worded it better, as soon as you shift into 5th it wont go, like the teeth are striped. It just revs up

 

I dont think that it is a very good deal. I would make him an offer like maybe 300-400 bucks. I got my quad in perfect running condition for 400 bucks and i didnt have to do a thing to it. but it is up to you.

i just bought a 300 4x4 that had the **** beat out of it still runs great, has all gears, starter is shot. paid 400 for it. starters arent really worth what they cost from what a friend of mone tells me, so I just kick it for now, woth the comp release all you need to do is step on the kick starter and she takes off, someday when i get done with college i'll get a starter for it, but the farmer i bought it from had been kicking it for the past 3 years
