im am deciding from a Raptor 660R, Banshee, and a Raptor 350 i do alot of trailriding, a little mud and sand also and mainly just flat out speed my problem is i hear alot of bad stuff about raptor 660's tranny's about they go out alot and break???? any one know about this? also the Banshee is nice well its gotta be if its been around since 87' but i heard 2 strokes are going out in 07' and 2 strokes are a pain to fix and maintain and i dont know anything about the new raptor 350 please help!!!!!:

 

get the banshee their not that hard to fix and they are very fun

 

Banshees are a nice machine they've been around along time you just want to stay away from the 87-89 I believe, Those had J-Arms other than that they are flawless. They are about the fastest thing around hopped up the are very good for hill shoots/sand,trails they take a little work to keep the revvs up otherwise it will foul plugs. They tend to like being wide open. Raptors the trannys are fixed only the 01's had bad ones. The One Way bearing in all years tends to go out. They are also very good in the sand. Excellent trail machine,they are only tippy if you are new to riding. The Raptor 350 I dont have much info on because it isnt out. Though it is lighter than a Warrior has a little more power I've heard. But if they are just like the Warrior they would be a very good trail machine but lacking power in the Dunes.

 

What about the YFZ450 ? You should look at those to

 

may i suggest a honda 400ex or 450r

 

thanks for all yor help im still deciding form the shee and 660 but i would get the 400ex but 2 problems right now the APR for honda is 6.9% and Yamaha is olny 3.9% so ........ plus i already had a honda i want something that will hit about 65 to 85 mph thanks

 

Then You may want a Shee,Rap maybe a YFZ but I think they're pretty much hopped from the factory unless you want to go to the unreliable extreme of 85 MPH from a YFZ.
