Banshee Sputter

I am from NYCity and last weekend I was riding up at Chatsworth NJ which is like an hr or so up from here. I am running a stock setup on the carbs and the problem is this. The bike started fine but once it got hot and I killed the engine the bike would idle but as soon as you hit the gas the damn thing wanted to stall. Let off the gas and it idled again. Does this sound like a jetting problem? Or maybe the carbs are getting stuck on the inside? Also I am going riding in the poconos this weekend does anyone think I should rejet ? Thanks for the help

Sounds to me you have finally encounterend the faulty desing of the TORS setup.. I have a 98 Bnahsee with toomines. The bike did the same thing. So i thought the carbs got gummed up from siting . Removed the carbs and cleaned really good. Nothing happend still the problem with the bogging. After trying everything we cut the tors wires going to the carb. WOW the bike stated and ran great. It took 3 hours to figure out but it sure beat taking it to a dealer.. Try that and email me if you have any problems.. I also had this problem on a 91 blaster. Good bye TORS system. Next will will intall the carb cap kit to get rid of the TORS setupp all together.
Also we ride in Potter County and the only bike that had problems running in higher areas was the LT500 we rejeted and removed the air box lid. The 98 banshee runs great with tommies and 300 mains in the higer areas.. I don't think you need to rejet.
Check out are link below we ride at chadworth, Jack frost MT TRAXX park and Bell plains forest NJ. Drop me a line if you want to meet up and do some ridin..
We are also riding in LYMAN Run state Park in Potter county The end of July

Sounds like the parking brake rev limiter to me.
Make sure that all of the slack is removed at your parking brake adjustment at that clutch lever. If the parking brake is on (or it thinks it is on) the bike will be rev limited to 2500 RPM.

Ok so I disconnect the TORS and presto no more problem. Starts and runs great. Now the thing I have to say is this...WHAT THE F*&^ is that stupid thing for if it runs without it. Thanks for the help.

Well for a temporary fix find the top of the end of the tors ontop of the the carbs and basically just follow the wire back to the clips and disconnect the clips. I taped mine up until I get the removal kit and it works fine.
