i really want to know how goo theese things really are ive herd so many mixed reviews i just dont know if ther good enough for how much they cost and how good they are on the trails. i really want to get one but dont have the cash. im not so shure if i want to work all sumer for it. i really want somthing to beat all my friends

 

im in the same boat. i have it down to either a yfz or a raptor. i hear good and bad things about both. the yfz is good but the shifter sticks i hear, and the rap is kinda to heavy like tippy i mean, and the reverse sucks because of a limiter. i am having such a hard time decieding. i think im leaning towards the yfz tho.

 

One of my Buddys has a Mod YFZ 450 and I have a Mod Banshee.
And as for the YFZ 450 it is one of the best Trail quads I have been on it is even better then the TRX 250R on the trails.
And when me and my Buddy drag Race I win by 4 Quads and the is dam good for the YFZ 450 concidering all the Mods I have done to my Banshee.

 

From what I have read, the YFZ blows everything else away.
Dont get me wrong, I have yet to ride one of these, this is just what I have heard.
Read the post "the YFZ in my eyes" there is alot of arguing in the post but if you can get past that then there is alot of good comparisson between the YFZ and the raptor.
When you are deciding what bike you want you need to decide what you want out of the quad, trails, dunes, hills, blah bal blah

ive realy herd the yfz blows away any quadsid have to hear from your friend you know how those tings are beacause i herd a rapter and a ds blew one away and the yfz blew both them away

 

well, in the 04 buyers guide, the yfz was teh only quad to get 10 out of 10 stars in everysubject, subjects were: mx, trail riding, woods racing, dunes, and dessert. the raptor did poorly, and the closest quad to the yfz was the new 450r, but it had only 9 stars for mx and dessert, everything else 10. so the yfz seems great. i want it soo bad. in a month i will either be the proud owner of a rap or yfz.

 

My buddy will be at my place in about 1/2 Hour you can ask him more about his YFZ 450.
