When do you change a belt ? Grizzly 600
#1
Hi guys,,,,I am just wondering, ( Brothers Bike),,,when do you need to change the belt on a bike ? No trouble with the present belt, but was given a new belt for his Grizzly last year when he bought it. The bike is a 1998 and still original belt. Is it time, approx. 4000 miles on the bike and still runs great. Any input? Thank-You...Terry E.

IF YOUR V-BELT IS PART # 20 5KM-17641-00-00 V-BELT . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 (USA)
CHECK THE V-BELT for the following.
2.Check: The V-belt for Cracks/wear/scaling/chipping → Replace if found.
Then clean and Oil/grease primary sheave and secondary sheave.
3.Measure: The V-belt width for Out of spec. → Replace.
New V-belt width: 33.2 mm (1.31 in) <Wear Limit:> 29.9 mm (1.18 in)
