Hey guys i have an 01 rappy and i know all about the tranny probs. Has anyone heard of east coast atv? Their website Well they offer a new Raptor motor for $1,900.. now when i heard this i was like wow thats cool. lol. Because its around $1,400 for your dealer to replace the tranny for you so i figured for 500 bucks more just get a whole brand new engine!
Now my question to you guys is have you ever heard of this company? What would you guys do? This sounds like a decent deal to me isn't it or ....
Thanks in advance -Matt-

I know East Coast ATV deals in alot of used parts. Are you sure this isn't a used motor? Then if you get a 01 you'll have the same trouble all over again. Plus if your going that far and want to savethe money I would do it myself. Raptor Tranny .com makes it a real easy job. I can't remember for sure, but I think its less than $600 in parts.

Hey i called up a couple places and Ripper racing Ripper Racing has the tranny upgrade for $730 with a $100 core charge so in the end it will be about $630..
But im not confident going into my motor and doing somthing stupid and itll break worse on me. Is this really this easy to change the tranny? I am not that mechanically situated in my home, I do have all the tools and ive changed the clutch and one-way before, how does this job compare?
Now what i could do is use my 01 motor and use it as a project motor to replace the tranny, and also buy a new motor from East Coast atv East Coast ATV and use that motor in my raptor. Im not sure whats easier and what im thinking of doing is a **** load of money. What would you do?
