my quad is making a weird sound inside the chain case. it happens mostly when i take corners. The chain is in good shape. bu ti was wondering how tight it should be. right now I came move it up and down along the longest part about 3 inches is thjis to much. and should i tighten it or remove a link. the chain was new last year. and it has probably stretched. would it hurt to take out a link . thanks

 

Yeah, tighten it up, 3 inches each way is way to loose.

 

3" is way too much slack. And if it olny makes noise when turning check the bearings, that could couse the chain to become loose also.

 

thanks i tightened it this morning and it solved the problem.
