Have any of you ever had the problem of your clutch rod and ball welding together? I am tearing into mine tomorrow and hopefully fix it, I'm just looking for some advice on how to do it. I have heard all I need to do is take off the clutch cover and the front of the clutch basket and I will be able to get to what needs to be fixed? If anybody that has done this can give me some suggestions it would be appreciated.

If it welded together then it prolly welded the clutch actuator arm too. This is the piece that the clutch cable hooks to.You're right, take off the cover, take out the clutch springs and take the pressure plate off.The ball and rod set right inside the middle of the clutch hub. After ya get it all together, before ya put the pressure plate on,order a pancake bearing to go between the pressure plate and clutch adjustment bolt. This keeps the rod and ball from spinning and therefor from welding up.I recommend this to all my customers because all banshees do this,it's only a matter of time.Hope this helps,if ya need anymore info let me know.I don't have one in stock but if ya need it I can get it asap.
