That is kinda a short run. It sounds okay to me. Did you rev out in sixth?

If you sit back on the seat more you will get more traction. Lightening up preload on the rear shock will transfer more weight on the rear tires. Pulling out in a higher gear and feathering the clutch will help as well.

I don't think 4-stroke guys really benifit from it, but...2-strokes put out 6 major gasses. by finding out the amounts, it will pretty much allow you to see how your motor is running under a microscope(figuritivly speaking), and you can "fine tune" it for optimum power, so you do not waste any money on excessive dyno runs. The downside to this is, you have to drill a hole into you pipes, as close to the exaust port as possible(unless some of you know a better alternative). I recommend doing it somewhere out of eyesight, where put a tac-weld over it, and it won't look bad. I wouldn't dyno a 2-stroke(and maybe a 4) withought doing this. This and timing adjustments do make the difference. I'm going to do it again hopefully this weekend, and I'll post a new topic more indepth on this, if anyone is interested

Six lengths to me is a very big margin in such a short distance. I raced a shee in about 330 yards where I just wound out in final gear. I won 3 out of 6. I race a 400 ex at same strip and I beat him by about 5 or 6 lengths. I raced him at a shorter track and could only beat him by 1 1/2 to 2 lengths max. I would be very happy to beat him by that margin. Plus him being geared down in the front adds a very noticeable diff. in acceleration.
