400ex yesterday with a pipe on it....he is geared down one tooth in the front... with my mods in an open parking lot, probably only 200ft long. we raced twice throught the parken lots, its like loose gravel, and i only beet him by like 4 or 5 bike legnths.... i was kinda upset, i thought i woulda killed him....i was thinken maybe becuase he is geared down, and could accelerate so fast while i was just spinnen of of the start????anyone know weather this is normal or not, or any ideas on what the turnout should have been???

yeah you sound like you have a sick shee.. 400ex's arent any slouch either. what was on the ex, abnything else besides the pipe ? Was he a good rider? Are you postitive you are tuned correctly? He could have a 440 and you dont even know. With your powerband you could have been spinning while the slick fourstroke powerband has a btter chance of stayin on the ground....

A 400ex will not loose by many lengths on a short run like that. The first 3 gears are the 400ex's forte. When the Banshee is just starting too run the 400ex is done. I bet he pulled 5 lengths on your Banshee pulling out.

Get him in the sand, dunes, pits, or somthing. Then the banshee can really shine

thats such a short race really, but on pavement or somewhere where u can hook up, and go all out, u will win by a lot, 400exs are pretty nice tho, just not a banshee or raptor

Your complaining about 5-4 bike lengths?! You killed that 400ex! Especially if it was only 200ft!

If you were racing in loose gravel, I think that explains why he was close. The ex probaly wasn't spinning out of the hole, and with a short 200ft race, he was still close. Try on pavement and see how far the distance is.
