Default Cometic Rappy head gasket?

Alright guys, has anyone used the new revision of this gasket yet? I recently put on into my Rappy because the old version had rivits that prevented it to be sealed properly. Well...I'm having a coolent problem now and can't find a leak ANYWHERE! I looked all over checked and tightened all hoses and still no visable leak, the oil is clean too.

My next assumption was that the head gasket is faulty and leaking into the cylinder. I have no steam coming out of the exhaust and it runs absolutly great so that is the only facty I have that leads me to say the gasket isnt bad. I checked the plug and it has kind of a glossyness to it but nothing deffinate that coolent is getting into there. I run 100 octane race fuel...would that leave a gloss on the plug?

So...how are these holding up for you guys? Any problems similar to mine? Is there anyother company that makes gaskets that are compairable to the cometic one? If so please post that info because I'll prolly want to get it if it's the gasket that is bad...if anyone has anyother idea on what my problem might be please post! Thanks! pull the head cover off and retorque the head bolts.
plus you can check for air bubbles in the coolant

I know there are no airbubbles but I'll check those head bolts. Thanks.

Hmmm... I didn't like where one of the rivets on the back side of the head sat and ground or drilled that rivet out. I was afraid it might keep the head from sitting down all the way and not seal. I guess this was the old style.

what did you torque the head at last time.
its recomenned that the head be torqued 3 times. first time, then after 30 hours then another 50hours. each retorque go 1-2 ft more than the last.
i do my heads at 30,33, and the final of 35. now some say that the threads start pulling out at higher torques. all my heads and cases are heli coiled which can hold up to more torque.

so if you dont want to go to the higher torque's then start at 27 as the book says and then goto 29, and a final of 30. the reason for the 1-2 extra ft lbs is to ensure you turn the bolt.
another thing is to not use a thread lock at all. you can use the thread lock on the top of the bolt head but not on the threads. the thread lock can not be cleaned out of the threads unless you use a solvent and a thread chaser ( not a tap ) and when using a thread lock you will not get a good torque setting when you do the retorque.
