Timberwolf 4x4
Yeah, its full time, and I don't think theres a 424 for it, but I could be wrong. I had a 2WD for about 3 years and beat on it pretty hard with no problems. I really can't remember having any problems, the reverse selector gets hot if your going real hard or real slow for a while. Ah, I remember, the fender braces were kind of weak.
Went end over end once-broke the throttle housing, bent the bars and the front bumper. Throttle cable eventually broke, may have been a result of the crash...
Put it on its side twice-no damage-both times while in reverse , one was caused by backing over the front of a Honda, oops)
Ramps fell while unloading it once- bent the rear bar (older model-no metal racks for support)
Rear ended a Polaris once- no damage...to the T-wolf

For a 250 the put up quite a fight. I've bumped mine from the actual 230cc to 260cc with a big bore and stroker kit from Powroll, made quite the difference, then put a supertrapp pipe and going to put the K&N intake kit in it. I use it for hunting mainly, and I've pulled half a moose out on the racks no problem. It's a little tall geared on the bottom, but my mods made up for it, don't stick any bigger tires than 23" on it, it'll kill it. If anything, dump some 22's on it all the way around like I"m planning to this year. The only thing I've changed on mine after heavy skeg riding and many and I mean many hard rides are bearings in the front, brakes, and a couple U-Joints and quite a few CV boots! I have a '94, and had to upgrade the reverse shifter internal lock piece to the newer aluminum one, the old plastic one melted twice. Other than that, it is quite the tough quad! I've jumped it pretty big for a 4x4 and never bent or broke a thing, even the shocks aren't blown yet! I'm building it up more and more to be quite the stout little hunting quad. They are the lightest 4x4 quads ever made, around 500lbs dry, a tad bit lighter than the wolverine. But if they were the same dollar, I'd buy the wolverine over the Timberwolf, much better in every area. But the T-wolf is a great trail quad for the bigginner or for someone who never rides too fast and aggressive. Great on fuel too!
