Banshee HI ALTITUDE Jetting?
#1
Hi,
Just finished the installation of the Toomey Pipes, and Airbox vents etc.. and was reviewing the Toomey Instructions on the jetting. It appears the jets included in the kit will be of little use due to my altitude...My question is has anyone used this kit above 4000 feet (Reno NV)? If so what jet did you use? I do most of my riding between 4-5000 Ft. I just want to have a close starting point. Currently I believe they are set up with #200 stock. Thanks for your help!

Reno,
4000 to 5000 feet, that's not high... Come out this way and ride.... mostly 6000 to 9000 ft. Anyway, even though I am the only schmuck on the planet with stock pipes on my Banshee people around here are running between 240 and 270 main jets on their piped Banshees. I think about 240 is just about right here so I would guess 260 or so for your altitude. On my mostly stock Banshee with reeds & K&N I run 200 main jet for between 5000 and 9000 feet.
