11 Year old on Sport Quad
#11
Being 11 and 70 pounds--he's already a rail. Then on top of that buy him a quad that weighs a little under 6 times his weight. When I was 11, I was stuck on some ancient Yamaha Beartracker--but at least thankful I had a quad. At his age, I was too dumb to figure out a clutch, it took me a while. So to start out on a predator, no experience, they just don't go well together. Anyway, hopefully nothing will happen...and if it does...it will be a hard lesson for his dad to learn

I had a Raptor flip on me and crushed the ribs on my left side. I am 6'2 230, the raptor is lighter that the pred I believe. That quad will kill that kid. If that quad rolled on him, there is no way that runt could even budge that quad off of him. I am putting off upgrading my
kids quads, theyre 10 and have 5 years riding under their belt.

Wether your big or not a quad is a heavy thing to push off especially if you get hurt. I'm 6' 175lbs. and my TRX250R flipped over on me while riding on sugar sand last year. Because of the soft sand I couldn't get a grip to push it off and my massive CT pipe burned my led badly through my jeans. Bottom line----don't buy a kid a quad he is not strong enough to minipulate should he get into trouble no matter how good of a rider you think he is.

Yep the pred weighs 412 and the raptor 398...I think. If your raptor did that to you when your a pretty good sized guy, that predator would smash that little boy. I wouldn't want to know what my V Force rolling on me would do though . Maybe his dad was smart enough to at least get him a helmet, and hopefully he'll make him always wear it as well as supervising him when he rides.

well first off, I was correcting someone for stating that the raptor is lighter than the pred. but when there are the fluids and such, it outweighs. second, I dont own a quad anymore, I had bought myself a dirtbike for my speed needs. And I have a feeling, I would smoke u with my baby.
