Any sprocket increase puts a strain on the engine, but 14 isnt bad. I never needed a larger front until I had cam, piston, pipe and filter. Even then it was only for a particular flattrack. If you really want to gear up that much (I cant imagine a useful reason why) then you really should reduce the size of the rear sprocket instead. Much less strain on the engine and you are less likely to have to buy a new chain.

I don't know how much faster, but it will be noticable! Pull out the baffle, take the rubber flap off under the tank/ seat, put in K&N and rejet... for about 50$ you will get a significant increase! This is the Easiest and Cheapest mod to make to a stock rappy!

What? You should not be running a 15 tooth front on a stock machine. You will lose all kinds of bottom end and it will take you a very long stretch of road to reach top speed. Most stock and piped raptor owners go with a 12 tooth front or equivlent rear sprocket. A sprocket that big on the front puts a serious strain on the engine as well. Its better to change the rear sprocket some as well if not for the entire change.
Yes, go 12 BIG difference over stock.

first of all, don't be in a hurry. that will co$t you. research your parts carefully. i ended up putting a white bros e-series on, rejetted (gyt-r kit), new filter (gyt-r), removed the air-box lid, and put a 12-tooth front sprocket on. it is a new machine. you won't believe the difference.

Ya, I donno where you figured 15 but I'd say go down to 12 and get that acceleration and holeshot. A stock bike WONT be able to pull a 15 tooth countershaft sprocket in higher gears and the lower gears will bog very easily.
