you can get complete top end rebuild kits for around 130-150$
boring should be around 40$

 

All try to talk the guys price down but if hes has run the bike like this for a little with it damage anything in the long run. And is it worth it.

 

to be honest... this is the only time ive heard that it wasnt ok to do it... like i said.. my buddy has had his offset for over 8 months now... no porblems at all... he race half an mx season like that too, its seen its high revs... but atleast try to talk him down enought to cover a complete topend rebuild.

 

OK if i can talk him down i will go for it but what is the chance of a problem down the road if he has run it like this for a while, or what is the worst case scenario.

worst case? i guess a crank... looking at 5-600 dollars for a brand new +4mm stroker...
or you could have the old one balanced again which is cheaper i am sure but i dont know how much cheaper.
