Hello all! My question is simple. How long will a top end be good before you need to rebuild it on a banshee? For sport trail, and few dune trips.

Thanks,

Jason

A Yamaha tech told me that they recommend a top end job every 30 hours. I would recommend that you keep a good eye on your compression. That should tell you when your top end needs service.

That guy is trying to make some business for himself!!!! Only rebuild the top end only when your compression falls below specs.

Alot of people recommend a rebuild every 30-40 hours. Alot depends on how you ride. Do you ride wooded trails or wide open deserts?

Its pretty safe just to watch the compression. When it starts to fall it is time to rebuild.
