raptor probs
Axle Bearing. do not drive to duplicate sound for your buds. your causing damage to the inside carrier as the now loose steel ball bearings grind into the soft aluminum swing arm and carrier. you can rile and grind the damage away. but it's tedious work if you don't have access to air tools and a whiz wheel.
Tip: i've done this job several times for buddies who love driving their raptors in water and mud all the time.
the first couple times i was cautious and "tapped" the Bearings and seals in and out. and it took me 6hrs. day wasted no riding.
the last couple of times i had access to a heavy duty vise and i "whacked" the bearings and seals out. and wrapped the job in a couple hours.
Advice: fill that carrier with grease.pack it. i know. i know.. the bearings are sealed. so what! fill it with grease and that will keep the water out longer. good luck. the axle nuts are a real joy.
