im buying a raptor form a guy in texas and were using the Escrow service to make the transaction. in escrow you have the option to hold the money for a certain amount of days before the seller gets the money, this gives you a few days to check out the bike before the seller gets the money. i was wondering if the number of days you signed up for, for the bank to hold the money, would include the shipping days, or would the days you signed up for start once you recieved the bike? if anyone knows more about escrow please tell me a bit about it. thanks

 

right, fitrstly with escrow, they act as a middle man on the deal, you pay escrow the money and they hold onto it till you recieve the quad, you then let them know everything is ok and they release the cash to the seller, from the sellers point of view its like sending the wheeler COD but with the escrow company already having the cash so he knows he aint gona get ripped,


right heres the kicker,

there are foney escrow companies operating that are set up by the fraudsters so you make your payment thinking it will be nice and safe and then you wait for the bike, and wait and wait and it doesnt show, so you get in touch with the escrow service and find they have disapeared with the $$$$ and the bike never existed,

i know most ebay scams center around western union but you need to know theres dodgy dealings going on with escrow as well so be carefull,

the only way i would even think of doing the escrow thing is i were able to specify whos service you use,

if the guy is insisting you go with a certain company i would be dubious to say the least
