Default need help with my warrior

Hi, my name is Mike, I saw your posting about your warrior. I also have a 2000 350x warrior, and at an idle, if I do a quick wide open throttle, it will fall on its face, I have done everything to rectify the problem, (I have my own ATV repair shop) I work on all kinds, but This one is giving me fits. Dont get your hopes up that cleaning the jets will stop the problem. Mine did it even when it was stock, so I figured that when I decided to overhaul it , I would remidy the problem, but that has not been the case. This is what I have done so far.
bored out the cyl. .050mm, DG Excellerator Exhaust System, K&N filter, Modified the air box as suggested by the Dynojet instructions for stage 2 rejet, I am in Arkansas so i am under 3000ft elivation, I have tried everything from #142-#152 main jets with no noticable change in the flat spot during quick excelleration although there is quite a difference in the topend performance between these jet sizes, It works best with the #146 and 148 main jet., I have tried several different ways to modify the air box from stock to full mod. with no change in the flat spot at just off of idle as when trying to pull the front end up quickly without clutching, I have tried the oem jet needle and the dynojet needle , agin no change. Yesterday I rechecked the valves, air filter, fuel, made sure that I had the correct Dynojet #146 main jet installed , made sure that the oem pilot jet #142.5 was clean, float was set spec., new plug, Dynojet jet needle is used with there jets, made sure that the pilot screw was set at about 3 turns +/- . I still have the flat out engine signoff with a quick excelleration and the excellerator pump seems to be working properly while on the bench. The only thing that I have not done is drill out or replace the pilot/idle jet as all the reading that I have done says that the warrior is jeted plenty on the bottom side, but I will try this today, also I noticed in the shop last night that the pipe frpm the head to the first turn was glowing red hot while at an idle, so i replaced the exhaust gasket, again ( No Change) I have seen two strokers get hot when the plug is fauling and load up the pipe or when there is an air leak in the pipe. This is why I am writing to you , so if you find out in the future what your problem is maybe you will contact me to let me know, also if you forward this letter to someone who has made these same type of mods, and had the same trouble, maybe they can help us.

seems as though you have a bigger problem than I do. Have you rejeted your carb.? what main are you running?Have you modified your air box?fi so, what did you do to the air box? Did you have the carb. worked on or did you do it yourself? have you done this before? I ask you this because I sense that you are over looking something, seems as you are running out of fuel, does your petcock valve work properly, are you on reserve? Maybe I can help you out .

You might have water in your gas, try puttin' Iso-Heet in the tank you can buy it at wal-mart for a $1 or so!

turn your gas off, and disconnect the gas line from the carb, unbolt the air box and take it out can be done without takin airbox out but the room helps. get a 10mm and unbolt the carb from the motor and airbox, disconnect the throttle and take it someplace and empty the gas out. turn it upside down and take either four or five plus head screws out and the factory jet you'll see it'll have a plastic piece cup like thing over it. Take a flat head screw driver and carefully take the jet out(the jet is gold). hold it up and see if it's stopped up and while it's all apart take some carb cleaner and spray the whole carb and jet and clean it out with it. Be sure to clean your hands after the carb cleaner casue that stuff is strong and don't inhale it the quad won't get together properly if that happens. We are in the process of putting in a gas filter from the tank in that gas line, in past experiences we've found plastic in the carb from the tank and the warrior i worked on the carb didn't stay very clean.

Let me know if you do this and if it helps or if you have problems.

Yes,I have tried the 148 jet and the proper needle, and i can tell that i am just a little rich on top end with the 148. the 146 seems better on top end as the rpms are much more responsive. My main problem is the signoff when I make a quick WOT after idle. This thing should pull the front end up without clutching, but it just falls on its face. Runs great while throttle is in use, like from 2nd gear up or while feathering. I think I will try to block off the excellerator pump as suggested by WILLACE. The air box mods I did are to the airbox lid with a UNI bit, basicly I drilled ouit every section of the lid with about a 7/8 whole except for the most forward part that holds down the filter. I have also tried to diagnose the problem by removing the filter completely and by restricting the intake. I kinda wonder if maybe the carb just cant handle the sudden change in atmispheric drop, maybe this thing needs a better quality carb.?
