After riding awhile my brothers Shee lost its clutchs. He said that he thought that there is a Street Bike that has clutches that work very well in the Shee. Anyone know what Street Bike? He needs something to hold up under around 70+ horsepower.

 

They are the ones outta an R6/R1 but I'll have to get the part number so you'll get the right ones.You only need the fibers,you can use regular banshee clutches.

 

What about the clutch springs what do you sugguest?

 

I have the Dirt Digger clutch kit in my mod Banshee and It is the best one out for a Banshee

 

OK,Ive used every clutch possible in drag bikes and unless you're running a lock-up clutch,which you're not,go with the street bike clutches.I run streetbike fibers,regular steels,and Barnett springs.I have seen a Barnett dirt digger clutch last 5 minutes in an 80hp bike,so don't go there.They are fine on a piped Banshee but still don't work as good in my opinion.I've been looking for the part# but can't seem to find it.I'll look again and get back with you.I hope this helps,like I said I'll get that part # for ya when I find it.BTW one of my customers runs one of my 95hp 350's and he's been on the same set of clutches for a year and a half with no override or lockup and he runs this clutch setup.

 

I sugguested the lockup clutch. But he didnt want to go there yet. Hes trying to work his two shees. Both bikes are stock bore but one has 4mm stroker and the other 7mm. The clutches on the 4mm have held up better but the 7mm killed the clutches first run out.

I use the "KG Clutch Factory" kits. The are around $75-80 and come with springs. The springs are stiffer than stock but a lot easier to pull than the Barnett springs. I race TT which is killer on clutches. I ran all last year with the same set of KG clutches. I was turning about 65 HP with that motor. The rear brake floater locked up and that is what finally caused the demise of the clutch set. I am now turning about 75-80 hp with my new stroker and am running a KG kit in it with great success.

 

Where can you get those KG clutch kits?
