Raptor Long Travel Suspension
#1
Looking for a front suspension setup for the Raptor. Leaning towards long travel suspension. Going to run Elka Quadruple rate suspension with the High/Low speed compression adjustability and rebound as well as the ZPS setup. I would like to know what's the most recommended from a-arms to run with this style of setup? Benefits and disadvantages from heim and ball joint setups. I hear so much ups and downs from both that I can't decide which to lean towards? So far the best setup looks like A-Arms from Houser or Gibson. Roll Design looks great, but you seem to pay more for the name that anything? I got a Durablue +2/+4 rear axle, not sure which would be better in a +2 or +3 setup, width isn't of concern, thinking wider is better since I'm setting up my Raptor for wide XC and Baja style riding more than MX or anything, and lowering it in winter for Ice Racing. Probably also go to a +2 Swingarm later to help keep the front end down better too if that should influence any suggestions on what setup to run in the front? Open to any comments and suggestions.
