What mods are a good starting point for a raptor that is used on sands woods trails. Which pipe, which filter, which tires, any airbox mods, jetting etc. Any opinio is a good one. Also has anyone had experience with nitrous on an ATV?

Well as far as pipes go the Sparks is by far the best but i've also heard good things from the Alba pipe.
I always use K&N air filters.
People like to run with the airbox lid off.
Jetting i can't help you on don't understand it well enough. I'm not around sand so tires that work good on sand and woods i would have no guess on.

Ya, I would recommend the Sparks pipe, I hear Alba, CT, and yoshi are good. Most any pipe will be better than stock, so pick what you like. Get a K&N and at least take off your airbox lid. If you get a jet kit get the GYTR, or just buy some bigger main jets from a dealer, possibly 25 pilots too. If you ride in sand much get haulers. Some nice graphics at least make you look faster too.

i have heard good things about those pipes but the yoshi is extremely loud so if you need a quieter pipe look into something with a quiet core

I like my yosh and you would also need to change your filter. The biggestest improvement i found on mine was replaceing the stock axle with a plus four. That turned it into a completly different atv.
