Default GPS

Is GPS really accurate? I was wondering because I put a GPS on my quad and it said 77.6 and my Trailtech Speed said 78.1. What one is more accurate and everything. My buddy said my Trailtech can be 3 mph higher or 3 mph lower then real speed but the different in the speedo and GPS is only .5 and I think my speed is pretty accurate. What do you guys think about that? He is a Pred owner so hes have a fit about it lol. If my speedo is wrong then hes going slower then what I told him so I dont understand what is problem is. Because his was doing 74 and if im only doing 75 then his is doing like 71

no its not that im slower, all i said was there is like a error range. cause its not 100% accurate. i know on my GTECH PRO the mph is like 2mph + - depending. all i said to him was its accuarate but there is a + - in mph that u have to add and subtract to get an avg. i dont care that im slower, im not into top speed neways.
