I just installed a complete yoshimira exhaust on my 03 Raptor. I am having problems getting it jetted. I have a pro flow air box, and pro design foam filter. I do a lot of trail riding (3000 elevation). Do I need to get a K&N? The guys that installed it for me put 140 and 145 main jets (Dyno jet kit). Do I need to replace the pilot jets too? Placed the needles on the 5 notch. It was running too rich so I started jetting down and changed the needle position to the 4 notch. Then to lean. Do you have to turn the pilot air screw every time you jet down or up? I need some adivse. My bike is running like crap!

Shiney,
I put the Yoshi on my Raptor, it has K&N and holes in the lid, and I used 150-155 mains, 3rd groove needle position, and larger pilot jets I think like 26.5. My main jets though are the stock type and I don't know how they transfer over to the DynoJet sizes (which are larger for the number).
Anyhoo, my advice is to go onto Duncan Racing.com or any of several other engine mod sites, and click around till you find carb jetting pages. There is a wealth of info there that will get you to where you fully understand what all the aspects of jetting are, and how to get yours just right. It'll get you miles ahead in a short time.

I followed the directions the kit gave me and it works great. The power difference is awesome.Iput in 146 and 148 the needle is on 4th clip with all stock spacers and k+n filter with billet adapter. 3 turns out on both carbs.Ialso have the yoshi full stainless. You should not have to change pilot jets
