Default bent a-arms

i just recently had a little spill on my 01' raptor and bent an a arm, i was also recently considering getting new, longer a arms. my question is that if i get longer a-arms is it a must to have a longer rear axel?

You dont have to, but it will handle very strangely if you dont. I would go with the new a arms and run that for a little while until you can get a new rear axle too. The cost of oem a arms is high enough, even used, that you can almost pay for a set of aftermarkets.

I agree with maddog. I put +2 a-arms and a +4 axle on the rappy and like the handling much better. If you bent the lower left a-arm, got one in the garage collecting dust.

i would replace the a-arms off ebay first then get the axle. i think the axle needs done before the arms unless you have the money to do it all.

You can get factory length A-arms from JL atv products ( 1-800-233-2637). they sell them in pairs, they have adjustible ball joints and they are the same price as 1 from Yamaha. they are made from 4130 chromoly so they alot more difficult to bend over stock.
