well by developed i guess you mean first year out. then the mojave and bashee dont count. but obviously you dont see the trend. look back to the years of the 80s and early nineties. 250r,lt250r,lt500 zilla, tecate. the tecatey did around 47 horses. and the zilla about fifty one, now stock for stock look at hp ratings. their loosing the good stuff! their finally starting to catch up with the new 450s but comon. the oldies kik a$$.

i was at work the other day, and a freindly aquantance asked me when i wanted to race his 400ex. I giggled like a little girl(no offence to any little girls). and he's like, "What?!" then I told him I would smoke his 400ex. Then he said "well just wait, I'm getting a 450 next month" I giggled some more.

 

My point is that no quad that debuted in the last 17 years was given a kick start. The Blaster and Banshee were the last models to use such a system. Why would every manufactuer choose to put an electric start on every quad that has came out since then? It's your opinion.

sounds like you got beat in a drag race against a 440ex or 450r and that you started this thread to make yourself feel better about your stock 01 raptor with tranny problems. Your raptor may have more potential than either of the hondas, but the 450r is faster stock for stock in a 300ft race, and the 400ex can be modded to spank a stock raptor. I am starting to wonder if you even have a quad.

Dude, you don't know what you are talking about. You are absolutely wrong on the kick start issue. I will name THREE quads that have a kick starter that are brand new -

1) GasGas 300 2stroke - has electric AND kickstarter
2) GasGas HP450 4stroke - has EFI, electric and kickstarter
3) YAMAHA YFZ450 - comes with electric, can add kick starter as a factory option

There must be some demand for kickstarts, otherwise Gasgas and Yamaha would not have spent the money on making this available. Next time take more than 2 seconds to think about what you are typing before you challenge everyone.
