Default pads for wolverine

I have had my wolverine for about a year now and it looks like I'm going to have to replace my break pads soon. Need to know what some good after market brands would be, or would I be better getting factory? I want good pads. I trail ride. some mud and water. Thanks for the input on this thread.

Personally, I haven't found anything that is as good bang for the buck as the stockers.

You haven't changed pads in a year, amazing. I ride in western Massachusetts and if I use rear pads like you normally do, they only last about 4 rides. We have lots of mud and water. With this machine I've learned to ride using just a little front brake. The front and rear pads have different part numbers but are interchangeable. The rear ones have a tab on side backing plate. You can grind tabs off for the front if you need to.

4 rides? Holy smokes. That is like 300 miles on a set of pads? How do you wear them out so fast 01247?

The mud just grinds away at the rear pads. I've learned to ride using just the front brakes, they last a lot longer ( about two sets a season ).

I mainly use the front breaks also. Use engine breaking mosly down hills. Do you guys use factory breaks for replacement?

I like yammy brakes. None of these brakes for Wolvys are worth a ****. It does seem the Yammy brakes last a little longer.
