Hey guys my name is Mike. I'm in the process of purchasing a quad. I have a choice between the raptor 350, KFX 700, KFX 400, and the DVX 400. I once owned a 400ex so i'm moderatly skilled in atving. I don't want something with exceptional speed, instead I'd like something that I can throw around and still keep up with alot of my fellow riders. They ride all sorts of bikes like the 250r, 400ex, 660R, and banshees. I don't need to be the fastest of them all but I'd like to be the most manuverable. Out of the choices I gave you which do you think would be the best bike for me? Right now I'm leaning towards the rapter350 just because it has a proven engine, and a proven chassis. Regardless of its resemblances to the warrior. Thanks guys.

 

Get whichever you are the most comfortable on. The V Force 700 is not what you are looking for though. DVX400 or Z400 would be be faster then the Raptor 350, and has a liquid cooled engine. But if you want the Raptor 350, then get it. It is light, and has several nice updates over the Warrior, and it has the best looks.

 

I wouldnt even consider the raptor 350 if you're looking for something that you wanna throw around, it handles like a tank, its narrow as hell and ieven modded, it can just keep up with a stock 400ex. The kfx400 isn't much better than the 400ex, I have raced against and rode plenty of them and I have yet to be impressed, dont get the kfx, dvx, 2 or whatever the hell you wanna call it. If you want something that handles like a dream, straight from the factory and has adequate power, go with the predator 500, its a little funny looking and its awkward at first but it's a very nice machine and you'll love it once you get used to it.

 

out of the ones you mentioned i say the kfx400 would most likely be the best,but i love my rap 350 and i also suggest it to,it is a great trail machine,Anyways all of the machines will make you happy.

 

So the raptor 350 isn't a good buy at all? Clover how do you like your 350. It looks like an excellent machine...and 420ex your opinion is biased because you own a 400EX.

 

i just got my raptor 350 yesturday and i went out and raced a 400 ex today and i won it all depends on the rider unless the sixth gear has something to do with it.
i love my 350 and the kid that owns the 400 says its awsome so i wouldnt bash other quads i like 400 ex's also but its just stupid to bash other quads cuz noone is the same and different quads are for different people and if u want me to show u how to lose to a 350 raptor come and ill show u

 

How could I be biased to the 400ex if I leaned toward the predator in that particular post? The 400ex IS the best value used quad out there but I wouldn't buy one new, thats where the pred comes in, its the best thing out right now for the average rider.

 

I suppose but its more money than I have to spend. In any of your opinions which would be the best first performance upgrade for the raptor 350. A white brothers carbon fiber exhaust. Or a performance air cleaner?

 

400ex=( NO REVERSE) that was the only real reason y i didnt get one i just think its a hassel no having it but just my opinion

 

You will see a bigger power difference with the exhaust system
