It can be done with your modificatons, but you have to be geared high. Its really not worth it because its giong to deaden the acceleration pretty badly and its going to take a long time to get there. Its not going to be snappy. You lift cam and head work combo are what really allow you to pull high speed especially when its backed up with the bore and the 12:1. That engine combination will have pretty good volumetric efficiency, thus the high top speed, but not quick. To be quicker, go with a smaller cam and lower the gearing, but thats if thats what you want. In my opinion I wouldnt do it unless I lived in Kansas. Thats just me though, if you want an 80mph Warrior, I would say have at it. Remember though, that running them wide open for long periods of time will absolutely fry the top end.

I havent seen ONE write up on a stock warrior that ever had it break 60 mph (except for down hill with the sail up). A stock 400ex goes about 64mph and the stock warrior isnt as fast as a 400ex. And yes, I know you said 61-62. Show me where you get this figure.

1 tooth made a pretty big difference on my 400ex, i got 22in rear tires[2 inches more than stock] and i went down 1 tooth on the front sproket, and now i can do 3rd gear wheelies without my feet on the grab bar pretty easy

I'm not really concerned about what someone wrote up. I know my own Warrior which is not far from stock with only a slipon muffler will routinely pull 63mph + on dirt. Do a search on the forums for top speeds of various machines and 99/100 posts will indicate the warrior tops around 61-62 (which has been my experience) 400Ex around 63-65, 300Ex 55-58. I'm not saying it reaches it's top speed really quick, but it will definitely do over 60mph unless the machine is $hithauled or has a 300lbs rider on it.

Even with my shorter gearing right now at 12/42 over the stock 13/40 I can pull over 60mph. 104.5km/h to be precise, give or take the error in my trailtech speedo. So you can believe what you like and post what you will. I've no reason to lie about my own speeds. I'm not out to race anyone or say that my quad is better / faster than your quad because I know it's not in most cases. I know it's faster and quicker than my dad's old 82/83 suzuki quadrunner 125. And I know it's faster than my cousin's 250X honda, but I don't really care. My cousin's friends banshee is wayyyy faster than my Warrior, and I still don't care

Over what distance did you let your machine get up to 68? Just curious, because I've had my nearly stock Warrior up to 110km/h (roughly 68mph) on dirt, albeit on a slight down grade. That was probably over the course of 1km or so to hit that speed, and not from a dead stop.
