1. I bet I have had to get off a banshee and turn it around 5 times in 6 years of riding one.
2. Your right about one thing raptors are the best... the best quad you can buy for your gf or kid because anyone can ride one they are so smooth and, how shall I say... slow to accelerate.
3. I ride every day and I rebuild about every 4 years with no problem. However my buddys new yfz 450 (reliable 4 stroke) is in the shop with a valve through the head. You ever rebuild something like that Ya around $800 so you know when it happens to you. A banshee costs around $300-$400 to rebuild and have it done right.
4. If you are any good at riding you dont need low end power you use your clutch. lol I guarantee I can wheelie on my shee better than you can on your craptor. I can get the front up in gears 1-5 and 6th is so fast all you have to do is pull on the handle bars and the front comes up. lets see a raptor get the front up in any gear above 3rd. never happen.
5. true you have to mix gas this is kinda a bummer but I dont have a problem with it. but keep pushing that button 1 or 2 kicks and im running no problem.
6. banshees look hot as hell stock... Thats a given, they never changed it because they never had a reason to It just looks good as it is.

Dont give me that "have you ever ridden a raptor" crap either I have ridden several . one of my friends has a stock craptor and another has one heavily moddified. They both have the same power. great low end but the power falls off right away and you get bored waiting for 4th and 5th to wind out. Might was well have a scrambler they are just as boring at high speed. dont get me wrong I like raptors enough to get one for my wife. But she wants a banshee now too so I gotta look for one of them now...

Im sorry the dealer hiped up that raptor and you bought one, they have to lie about them to sell em thats just plain english. sorry about that.

I got the right video just for u if u wanna admit loss ask me for it. its when my banshee was STOCK climbing a sandy hill from a DEAD STOP starting from the beggining. and it had a few piped raptors that couldnt make it they would either bog or just sink right in.U can stop those banshee tires from spinning.

Banshee will never bog on hills if it does then u have a clutch. Has alot of torque more than needed
my buddies cant ride my banshee so they dont lke it but they are really impressed by it.

THe funny part people say banshees suck for woods. In my neck of the woods my banshee gets alot more grip in the woods than in the trails. more grip equals faster

 

...one last thing, banshee owner's have a conhesion between each other. we don't let each other get ripped up, and we are cocky(because we can be), we ride really fast, over anything( landmines, punji sticks, children, nuns/priests, authority figures, mt.everist, the baren sea, or anything else raptors can't)
I'm just kidding about the whole running over the priests and other things like that, but no one really understands, untill you experience it 1st hand. We don't stick up for our banshees because they suck, or we happen to own them, we stick up for them for that they have the ability to perform. Most of us give credit where it is due though. If you have a raptor that runs with a heavily modded banshee, well, more power to ya. Most of the time, they don't.
In conclusion to this reply, don't try to call banshee's unreliable, weak, underpowered, or anything else that your "new" quad can't compete with. I don't know what I'm going to do in a few years when I go to buy a new 450, and its not nearly as fast. maybe I'll cry.

a punji stick is what the was put at the sides of trails that ran up hills/moutains in vietnam. The vietnamese used to shoot at the americans with only 1 or 2 shots(sometimes) and the us soldiers used to jump down the other side for cover, and land on these bamboo spikes with pig feces all over them. This not only would injure the soldiers, but they would come down with horrible infections, thats if they didn't die. Don't worry, we had/have tons of cool tricks like that too, so don't think we're not smart either. I could fill you in if you'd like...

I guess the craptor owners gave up on this one... they are like the iraqie army they just dont stand a chance!!

 

...yeah well, they see that we don't take crap from anyone. I think they also see that, the raptor may not be the best machine ever, since, its only been around 3 year, and yamaha decides to make another race quad, to make up for what they screwed up back in 2001. oh well.
