Default rim ?

I'm looking at a set of new rear rims for a banshee, but not sure which ones(type) to get. either hyper-tech(black) or douglas shamrock rims. Anyone have these, are they really worth the money over stock rims? Whats size do ya suggest for a bike that is used on trail, racing every now and then, and a few medium sized jumps? thanks
Stock rims with razr 2 20x11x9 currently

There is not much difference in price between the Shamrocks and the HiPer wheels. The HiPer are lighter, as strong as the Shamrocks, and have a one year warranty. If you do happen to break a piece of it you can just replace that piece rather than buying a whole new wheel.

For normal riding, any wheel with a rolled edge will be plenty strong enough. That is a stock wheel or a plain Douglas Ultimate with no beadlock. In my opinion beadlocks are only needed if you finishing or winning a race depends on you not getting a flat tire and rolling the bead off. Or if you have a lot of money and you just want your quad to look cooler than your buddy's.

Put the $800-$900 you would spend on beadlocks into the engine and suspension first. You will get more improvement out of a good set of Elka front shocks or wider a-arms and axle than you will out of beadlocks.
