Default trail tech computer -- help!

Alright, so I have had this thing for months and it is just an overpriced clock in a billet frame.
I dink with it almost every weekend and still can't get it to work.

Here is the deal, AS shows a higher speed than TS (average speed higher than top speed? WTFO)
When riding there is no display of speed or distance or anything except the clock
when I hold the backlight button while the rappy is parked in the garage, the speed jumps up to 47mph and then zero.

I have checked the contacts, I tinker with the gap on the magnet (IF SOMEONE KNOWS THE APPROPRIATE GAP ON THIS PLEASE TELL ME) I have tried it with and without the plastic "wheel ring" etc.

The thing worked for about five minutes after I initially installed it, so I threw the install piece of paper away.

I saved the setup paperwork, and I have reset it numerous times.

ANY ADVICE?

go to trailtech.org and get the number and call the company, they will help you out. I have one and love it , it works great for me, I did have problems with the light breaking so I called the company and the sent me new lights for free, those broke, so they sent me another set for free, those broke so they sent me a whole new mounting kit with rubber isolators and my problem has been solved all for free. i think they are a good company who stands behind their products and would recommend their stuff to anyone.

yep I have the computer and lights, it all goes into the billet bar clamp, it looks really nice and I think it works great. The only problem i've had is sometimes it gives me a max speed of 172.45 MPH or 199.5 MPH but my raptor is pretty fast on occasion!! but other than that it has worked great, comes in real handy during races, I need the average speed to keep me going hard when I get tired, and the distance lets me know how much longer I got to take the punishment of stock suspension.
