raptor mysteriously bogging

yesterday i replaced stock clucth w/ msr thumb adj. pertch. installed a block off plate for ebrake. removed the two wires that go into the stock pertch and connected them directly. now bike idles beauttifully but when i give it some gas it boggs, when i hit it even more it backfires...what the hell is going on here...got a 6 day trip planned for mem day and now bike doesnt run...any suggestions? thanks

If your talking about the 2 wires coming off the e-brake, DON'T connect them! That's what makes the connection. If you pull the "plug" out of the back of the perch, open the plunger switch (easy), and remove the little brass ring inside, when you put it back together the e-brake retarder won't work. BUT!!!!! be careful, now you don't have a "dummy" way of knowing if your e-brake's on when you give it gas.

when i disconnect the two cables from the perch and then go behind the radiator to disconnect the cables from the harness, i connected them to themselves, completing the circuit. i thought thats what had to be done...

go to raptortranny.com and look up the raptor reverse limiter thats the porblem i had and took me 5 min to fix it and havnet had a problem sense here is the direct link it helped me im sure it will help you rev limiter

thanks guys...i will try tonight when i get back to the garage....this day at work cannot go quick enough...i hope its as simple as you guys are making it..ill keep you posted.
