Defective Wolverine Hitch?
#1
I recently purchased a Wolverine hitch from my dealer, and when I bolted it on, it didn't stick straight out but rather was angled down towards the ground in such a way that I can't attach my mowing deck to it. I can't believe that this is how it's supposed to sit, and there's no other way to put it on (it's not upside-down, etc.). So did I get a bum hitch or is this how it's supposed to be?
Thanks!

Odd but true, they all sit on a downward angle. Once you sit on the bike, the suspension compresses and it will straighten out a bit.
Now imagine it if you have added a 1-1/4" lift kit.. makes it much worse. I speak from experience.
To get buy, take a piece of flat iron, about an 1-1/2" wide, and maybe 2-1/2" to 3" long, bore a hole through both ends.. put a slight bend in the middle. Now bolt that piece of metal to the hitch. Use the other hole as the new mounting point for your mower.
Good luck.

Wow, thanks for the reply. If I would have known that I would have just gotten a Bruin or a Big Bear. Oh well, that's one of the prices I pay for trying to have a little "sport" with my "utility." Live and learn, right?
I'm not sure how I'll be able to get that iron attachment as you described - I don't even have the tools to do that sort of thing, let alone the know-how. Thanks again for the reply though, at least I know it's not just me!

Tell ya what... since you wanted "sporty" and ended up buying a wolverine, if you send me a mailing address, I'll fabricate exactly what you need and send it to you free of charge. Now I won't be able to get to this little project for about a month, but I give you my word, pm me your contact info, and I'll get you something that will work for ya.
Glad to have another Wolverine rider amongst us.
