Raptor Still Eating Up Oil

Default Raptor Still Eating Up Oil

The Oil res. says just a lil bit over Empty....I was like wtf is this thing doing?!?! There is no leaks anywhere that I can see the only thing I could see is Valve Seals? Any tips here? I know to check it while its warm and its looooow. Im starting to worry....

Could be gettin past your rings too. How longs it been since you reringed/rebuilt it? Is it smoking out the exhaust?

Default Raptor Still Eating Up Oil

If you check it right after you shut it down it will look low. You have to wait 5 minutes or so for some of the oil from the engine to drain back into the oil tank. The factory manual even says to wait a little while to check it. Try this, hope it helps.

If not maybe you should be looking into rings. When you change your oil does it really smell like gas? If it smells like there is a lot of gas in the oil after just a couple rides then maybe your rings are worn.

Im gonna try a few things,This is what I dont like about buying used bikes. I'm gonna change the oil soon anyway but that sure does bug me. Its amazing how much faster you go with your oil at the right level. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
