Older wolverines possible pull start?
Uhm.. Im not sure why you would want to put a pull start on your machine i havent had to use it once since if you do have problems you can pop start it and get ho,e fast and charge up or get a new battery. But if you want im almost possitive you can take one off a never machine.. Try ebay for the starter case and bypass it on if you must. it also hard to pull them if you plan on doing it a lot for some unknown reason...

Older wolverines possible pull start?
This is an interesting topic that may let more readers know exactly what they need to know.
First off, the sidecase cover is different. It actually gives a place for the pull starter to be mounted.
Second, the shifter lever has to be changed, as the sidecase profile changes and there will be interference.
Third, You need the pullstarter assembly... these can be found on E-bay from time to time - a warrior model will work.
Fourth, there is a reciever pulley that the dogs in the pull starter assembly lock into. this bolts to the crank.
Fifth, and this one is not required, but will make troubleshooting in the long run easer... They flywheel itself is different.
The reasoning for this is that the newer style sidecover case has the visual check hole for timing marks moved further
forward on the machine.. This means that when looking through this hole for the "T" or "F", you would not find them
when these conditions are truely met. The only way to fix this is to buy the newer style flywheel.
I looked into this and decided jumper cables meant for quads are much easier to carry in the cubby hole on the bike.
If it is truely a starter or solenoid problem, I believe you can actually pullstart the quad if done right.. I'll do some checking.
Hope this answers your original questions.
