Default stored banshee problems please help

i own two banshee's,a 2000 and a 1991,i just got the 1991 out of storage after 2 years.when i stored it,i turned off the gas. i got it out of storage again and it wouldnt hardly run,so i removed the carbs and cleaned out the main and idle jets, and the bowls, and anything i could really get to. now it will start if you roll start it.but wont hardly run unless you are reving it through the ceiling.and it will only idle for about 3-4 seconds.when its not reved and you give it gas,it wants to bog down and stall. is there a common problem when storing these? and when you are roll starting it,you have to let off the gas while rolling for it to fire up. i did drain the old gas and put new gas in before i tried anything though. my bro told me to rride it like a maniac for about an hour it and it will clear up.but i dont think so.can anyone help?

Im not so sure about your brothers thinking behind the "ride it like a maniac" approach... you sure there is nothing clogging the fuel lines? or maybe theres some crap gummed up in there? Just a thought.

i think try the riding it hard for a few minutes might help. If theres anything caught in the lines or cylinders when it heats up itll melt it away and clear things up. Just ride it and if you hear any odd noises let off and go from there.

i think maybe just moisture and gas have gummed up pretty bad.my brother was thinking that the flow of gas and air in them would clean them up. it just doesnt want to start or rev,the thing ran like a crazy person when i stored it. would just rebuilding the carbs help?or should i have them rebuilt and profesionaly cleaned?
