after messing with my banshee thats been stored,i thought it might be the carbs that was making it not run hardly at all.but i discovered that i am getting very very weak spark from my plugs,i cleaned all the connections,and im still getting very weak spark.i actualy had it stored in a shed with the stator/magneto and flywheel cover off of it. what should i check first,would sanding the flywheel with light sand paper help? what is the usual culprit of weak spark on banshee's. both plugs are sparking very very weak,and they are new plugs

 

You've prolly got rust on the flywheel,stator and pickup.Yes you can sand it off just go easy with it.If it doesn't help check the TORS,they can cause all kinds of problems like that.

yeah im thinking it became a little corroded from moisture from being exposed for like 6 months.im going to go through the whole system with an ohmeter tomorow.and im going to lightly sand the stator and flywheel and stuff soon too. this thing ran like a mad man when i stored it,the clutch pushrod failed so i just started riding my 2000 model. but i let it sit with the stator cover off,and now it has weak as poo spark

 

Make sure your parking brake is NOT on. When the parking brake is used, engine speed is limited to 2300 RPM's. The engine on the Banshee will just not rev with the parking brake on.....
